“Bloomstone started as a friendship between wedding musicians. For singer and guitarist Grant Bloom, what started as a love for songwriting developed into an eclectic and soulful sound playing in coffeehouses, bars, and restaurants in his native DFW Texas. He then moved to Boston and gigged heavily all over New England before arriving in Tucson where he met Chris. Bassist, Chris Pierce, has been deeply involved in the Tucson music scene for the past 2 decades. Chris has brought his undeniable style and deep grooves to artists like Steff & the Articles, Lando Chill, THE LASSO, Birds and Arrows and many more. Drummer, Rylande Dodge, is a Tucson native and lifelong musician. Born into a musical family, Rylande began drumming at an early age. He provides a musical funkiness when needed while simultaneously expressing his passion for jazz and experience gigging many different styles throughout his budding career. Together as Bloomstone, these three musicians strive to create soulful, rockin’ music and look forward to many more years of groovin’ for the masses.”
